The book isn’t new, but the author is definitely in the news these days. The book is Enough: The Phony Leaders, Dead-End Movements, and Culture of Failure That Are Undermining Black America–and What We Can Do About It, and the author is Juan Williams, recently fired by NPR over his on-air comments about Muslims.
Here’s a review (by Kam Williams, writing for AALBC): Enough: The Phony Leaders, Dead-End Movements, and Culture of Failure That Are Undermining Black America–and What We Can Do About It
Williams’ bottom line:
[This book is] a diatribe which basically blames African-Americans themselves and their Democratic leaders for the assortment of ills which still beset the community.
….a tome which reads more like a series of Republican talking points than an honest assessment of the state of African-Americana.
